Antonietta Collins
Antonietta Toni Collins is an Mexican American sportscaster. She is an ESPN anchor on news, and she hosts SportsNation at times. She began working for ESPN in 2016. She is the child of TV journalist Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta Collins is bi-lingual and has been so since the age of nine. This skill allowed her to land her first position at Univision, Miami. She worked with national producers on programs such as Nuestra Belleza Latina Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud Primer Impacto. In the following years, it was the CBS affiliate of St. Petersburg employed her as a sport reporter. She relocated in Rio Grande Valley in 2009 as a reporter for one of the Spanish stations KNVO TV 48 Univision, as well as Fox2 News. Covering stories on immigration and drug-trafficking on both sides of the border with Mexico. She reported for five minutes of the p.m. Spanish newscast a anchor, reporter and reporter of news at 9 p.m. news in English in addition to reporting for the 10:30 p.m. Spanish newscast. In the past, they relocated into Mexico City where she was born on November 22 1985. There is an older sister. The family relocated from Mexico to Miami in 1992, after having left Mexico. Her parents divorced soon after and her mother married one of the naval architects named Fabio Fajardo who died of kidney cancer in the year 2006. In the summer of 2006, she visited an entire week with her sister at Canton Ohio. The older Collins girl was employed there. Antonietta was at the end of her senior year in high school, but she was very aware of what she wanted to do in her future career. She visited Mount Union University in order to decide if it would be a good fit for her. She loved the campus. They also offered her the college she had always wanted. When she finished her high-school studies, she was accepted into the University to pursue media studies. Mark Bergmann was her professor as well as the director of WRMU in which she's a participant. They had a very close connection. He encouraged her to be confident and self-confident. His passion for journalism greatly influenced her and she, in turn, was determined to fulfill the expectations of him and not disappoint him.
